I am so thankful for people who are able to rescue horses, and other animals....I wish I was blessed to have the land and do this...I am thinking of getting a horse, I need a horses just like pumpkin.....could you send me pitures of her.....mightyinchrist2000@yahoo.ca....How far are you from peterborough?...maybe we can work something out for now....thanks I will wait to hear back from you..:love:

I am so glad that you pulled "Splash" from the kill pens.She is a lovely girl. I was in Alberta last summer and ended up buying a half blind filly from the meat pens. She is the best horse I have ever owned. I donated to "Splash" because of my "Joy", just because their eye sight is failing does not mean that they deserve such a horrible end. Thank you for all you do! There is nothing more noble then helping the helpless. Keep up the good work and I hope that "Splash" finds a wonderful home that appreciates the great and wonderful challenge of owning a blind horse :love:

Hi there to everyone at APLH, I am very excited about coming out and helping as a volunteer and meeting new people like me who really love horses (actually all farm yard animals) but have not been lucky enough to have my own farm (yet) it has always been a dream of mine since I was little and I'm 41 now. Never too late, right!! Lol.. I have so much love to give these gentle giants and have been trying to give my daughter (she's12) as much time around them as I can, and it's such great mother daughter time for us and making a difference in a pre loved horses life as well! We moved to Lindsay about 7yrs ago and haven't met anyone who loves being out at a farm and enjoying the company of horses and other critters. We are both really looking forward to coming out soon! ;);)

ON SEPTEMBER 9, 2011, I BROUGHT HOME EBONY (NOW EBBIE). SHE WAS AT APLH FOR A YEAR BEFORE SHE CAME TO LIVE WITH ME. ABSOLUTELY A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. KATRINA WAS AWESOME IN HOW SHE DEALT WITH ME AND MY FAMILY. SHE WAS VERY THOROUGH WITH INVESTIGATING EBBIE'S NEW HOME. HORSES AREN'T JUST PLACED ANYWHERE. ANY QUESTION I NEEDED ANSWERED SHE TOOK CARE OF. THE FARM WITH IT'S BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF THE LAKE AND PASTURES FILLED WITH VERY LUCKY ANIMALS THAT WHERE GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE THE AMOUNT OF TIME, ENERGY, AND MONEY OUT OF POCKET THAT GOES INTO AN OPERATION, SUCH AS ADOPT A PRELOVED HORSE. SAFE HAVENS FOR ANIMALS THAT DON'T HAVE A SAY. THANK YOU KATRINA AND EVERYONE AT ADOPT A PRELOVED HORSE FOR THE SERVICE YOU PROVIDE AND MOST OF ALL FOR MY ''EBBIE GIRL'' SINCERELY COLLEEN BEAUDIN.

You do an amazing job for the horses and it is great you keep tabs on the ones that are adopted now to see how they are doing. Hey there,I'm messaging you about Lilly the belgian mare.I used to work with lilly years ago we came from the same barn. I really hope you guys find a home for her, she is such a sweetheart and I'm horrified that she almost went to the slaughterhouse.Thank you so much for your dedication and for saving horses who just need that second chance :)

it makes my heart sink seeing all the pictures of some of these horses when they first show up. You guys do such good jobs to get them healthy and happy again. Keep up the good work :)
