Mikey was used in a schooling program before his previous owner purchased him from them. She just didn't have the time to spend with him anymore.
He is a very sweet & gentle, quiet, flashy gelding. Mikey raced when he was younger-36 starts and a Winner. He will make someone a really nice mount.
He is a wonderful horse with a sweet attitude. HE IS BROKE, TIES, LEADS, STANDS WELL FOR GROOMING, LOVES BEING BATHED, FARRIER, VET. TRAILERS VERY WELL.
HOUSING: Lives outside 24/7 with large run-in shelter, wears a blanket in the winter. Doesn't mind a stall, but does want company in barn.
Healthy & in good weight/condition. In with mare, foals, geldings & donkeys and gets along with everyone.
He does have some Lymphangitis in his one hind ankle, but more movement for him is better. Due to this he will not be used for jumping, but still fine for walk, trot.
UPDATE: His lymphangitis has really swollen his one hind leg, due to not much movement at this time of year, we have him on bute to help with the inflamation. He's not lame with it, but looks sore. Light exercise would definately help him, it's just too icey here right now.
He rides English and has also been used for Dressage. He has been ridden, seems very good and quiet. Big tall boy, would suit a taller person.
Mikey really is a sweet gelding with a wonderful personality.
