NAME: SIMON AGE: APPROX 1 Y/O BREED: MINIATURE DONKEY GENDER: BABY-JACK COLOUR: GREY-CHOCOLATE (WITH A LIGHTER BELLY) SIZE: APPROX. 9 .3 hh WEIGHT: APPROX 224 lbs NAME: THEODORE AGE: APPROX 1 Y/O BREED: MINIATURE DONKEY GENDER: BABY-JACK COLOUR: GREY (WITH A LIGHTER BELLY) SIZE: APPROX. 9 .0 hh WEIGHT: APPROX 224 lbs ADOPTION PRICE: Simon & Theodore are being adopted out together. ADOPTION FEE REDUCED is $300.00 each=$600.00 for the pair so they will be placed in a new home together by Sunday July 10th.. (was $375.00 each=750.00 for the pair) UTD on Wormer UTD on Farrier (both had their first trims here, they were quite good) Simon and Theodore came from auction from the same farm, (Half-Brothers?) so we have no information on them. Not sure how big they'll grow to be, looks like they'll stay pretty small. Both are still tiny underneath all that warm furry hair. Both underweight and can feel their bones. Great pets, minis really love attention from people more so than standards, now they come up to greet you, they are learning what treats are! They apparently came from a farm with other mini horses, but currently they are in with Jenny donkeys and also a mare in foal. Good with children. Had obviously not been previously handled as we struggled to get halters on, and touch them. They coats were really filthy and they are both very underweight. In just a couple of weeks, we are able to get 99them to come to us for feeding time and rub their heads. Will continue to work on their handling and grooming. They are both fairly quiet and only bray once and awhile. FEED: We have them both on a daily horse developer pellet, we hold the buckets so they get even more used to us. HOUSING: They don't mind being in a stall (together), now currently outside 24/7 with a shelter. Gets along well with the other donkey, mares, geldings & dogs. I want to see him placed with another donkey for companionship. Seems to try & herd up the barn cats. Comes into a stall at night, likes lying down in a warm bed of shavings. Must have proper shelters, as the donkeys seem to really feel the cold weather. PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING SIMON & THEODORE A PERMANENT LOVING HOME.
