NAME: SOPHIE AGE: born 2007 BREED: QH/TB GENDER: MARE COLOUR: BAY SIZE: 13.2hh approx (should grow a bit more) ADOPTION PRICE: $450.00 UTD on Farrier. UTD on Wormers. We purchased her from auction as no one else was willing to bid on her. She would have been sent off with a dealer who in turn usually sells to the local meat dealer. She has settled in nicely, and is now ready for her new loving family! Apparently Dam was a Quarter Horse/TB x, Sire was a Appolossa. She will stand there tied to be groomed. Loves people and getting fussed over for attention & rubbed & scratched. Leads. First one to the gate to greet you! She is sound and has been ridden, we have not tried her out here yet. HOUSING: He currently outside 24/7 with a shelter. Doesn't mind being stalled at night. Very timid with the other horses, would do best in a pony field or really quite horses. Lets them beat up on her. HEALTH: Other than alot of bites on her (from before we got her) the hair is starting to grow back, she is healthy & sound. Eating free choice hay supply. FUTURE: She would make a great pet, kids mount. Gets along well with Geldings & Mares. Loves the attention of being brushed & gentle handling. They stated she had been ridden, but I would assume, only green broke, but wouldn't take much to continue the training on her & put more hours on her. SHE TIES, LEADS, EASY TO CATCH, STANDS WELL FOR GROOMING, FARRIER, VET. Sophie really is a sweet girl with a wonderful personality. Loves attention.
